Dr. Andrew Lewis was born in Ontario but spent most of his life living in Victoria BC. His father, an ophthalmologist who practiced in Owen Sound, introduced him to vision health at a very young age. He had the opportunity to work alongside both his parents in the ophthalmology clinic, as an ophthalmic assistant.

His University education began at the University of Victoria where he graduated with honours degrees in both neural psychology and microbiology.

He returned to his studies in Oregon earning his O.D. from the Pacific College of Optometry. He spent time training at an ophthalmology medical centre in rural Alaska, a veteran's hospital in Pennsylvania, a contact lens clinic in Minnesota and an ophthalmology surgery centre in Idaho. His professional interests include ocular disease management, primary care optometry, contact lenses and surgery co-management.

Dr. Lewis could not be more excited about returning to Ontario to be closer to his family. When not working he enjoys playing hockey, soccer and practically anything outdoors. Dr. Lewis is honoured to be joining the impressive team at Eyecare Kingston. He looks forward to meeting you, and providing unique solutions to meet your specific visual needs.
